Drivers 25 and older with a valid, unexpired license. You’ll also need your own auto insurance — liability and collision valid in California — and you’ll share your declarations page before getting the keys. Only drivers listed on the rental agreement may drive the car.

A deposit (typically $500) is due at signing and holds your car; the rental balance is due before pickup. Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup and the deposit is fully refunded — later cancellations and no-shows forfeit it. After your trip, the deposit is returned within 72 hours of inspection, with an itemized statement if anything was deducted.

Return the car at the same fuel or charge level. There’s a 30-minute grace window on returns, then late time is $25/hour — extensions are easy if you ask in writing before your return time. Tolls are a flat $30 per rental; tickets are billed at cost plus $30. No smoking or vaping ($350), and driving is limited to the US and Canada — never Mexico. You’re responsible for damage during your rental regardless of fault. These are plain-English summaries — the signed rental agreement is the binding document.

Most rentals are weekly, with miles included — for example, a Tesla Model Y runs about $650/week with 750 miles. Extra days, weeks, and additional miles are billed at the rates printed on your rental agreement, so there are no surprises. Delivery is available on request.
